# Household budget planner

**How much does my household have left each month?**

Subtract all spending and savings from monthly income to see what is left. The planner also shows the share of food, debt repayments and savings in your income so you can see which categories are largest. It does not store your figures and gives no investment advice.

## How the planner works

All spending categories are added up, then spending and savings are subtracted from income. Each category’s share is its amount divided by income.

`Left over = income − total spending − savings
Category share = category ÷ income`

## Calculator limits

- The planner does not judge whether your budget is good or bad and gives no investment advice.
- Yearly costs, such as vehicle tax or school fees, are best divided by 12 and entered per month.

No. The numbers are calculated on your device and are not sent or stored.

### How do I enter yearly costs?

Divide the yearly cost by 12 and enter it under the matching category.

### What share should each category be?

This planner does not set ideal figures. Our household budget guide summarises financial-planning material from OJK and the Ministry of Finance.
