# Ride-hailing and courier net income calculator

**What is my net income as a ride-hailing driver or courier?**

Net income is gross earnings minus app fees, fuel, parking, vehicle upkeep, mobile data, BPJS contributions and vehicle instalments or depreciation. This calculator works it out per month, per working day and per hour from your own figures. The result is before tax and is not financial advice.

## How the calculator works

Daily costs (app fees, fuel, parking) are multiplied by working days, then monthly costs (upkeep, data, BPJS, instalments or depreciation) are added. The total is subtracted from monthly gross earnings.

Income per day divides by working days, and income per hour divides by hours per day. Everything is calculated on your device.

`Net per month = (gross − app fees − fuel − parking) × working days − monthly costs
Per hour = net per month ÷ working days ÷ hours per day`

## Calculator limits

- The calculator does not know your app’s fares, incentives or fees; everything comes from the figures you enter.
- The result is before tax.
- This calculator gives no financial advice and does not recommend any app.

## Frequently asked questions

### Should I include BPJS contributions?

BPJS contributions are a cost you pay yourself as a non-wage member, so include them if you pay them. Contribution details are in our BPJS guide for drivers.

### How do I work out motorbike depreciation?

A simple way is to divide the difference between the purchase price and expected resale price by the number of months you will use it. If unsure, enter the monthly instalment or 0.

### Is the result after tax?

No. Tax rules for drivers are in our tax guide for drivers.

### Is my data sent anywhere?

No. The numbers are calculated on your device.
