# West Java vehicle tax 2026: rates, online checks and payment

**How much is vehicle tax in West Java, and how do I check and pay it?**

West Java's vehicle tax (PKB) rate is 1.12% for a first vehicle, rising from 1.62% to 3.12% for second and later vehicles, plus a 66% opsen for the regency or city. Check the bill through Sambara or Info Pajak Kendaraan Bermotor Jawa Barat, and pay annual tax there or in the national SIGNAL app. Late payment incurs 1% interest a month for up to 24 months.

Web: bapenda.jabarprov.go.id/infopkb (enter plate number and plate colour). App: Sambara inside Sapawarga (Android/iOS). WhatsApp: 0811-2230-1818 (send 'Hi', choose menu 1, enter plate and colour; payment code and e-SKKP by WhatsApp). The SIGNAL app is also accepted for payment. No official SMS channel found.

## West Java vehicle tax relief in 2026

**Diskon PKB 10% periode libur Lebaran 2026.** Ran 18 March 2026–24 March 2026 and has ended.

10% off annual PKB for all West Java taxpayers, not valid for five-yearly payments and no waiver of sanctions or arrears. A separate 10% discount applied only at the GIIAS Bandung venue, 9–13 September 2026. The Governor said on 1 October 2025 there would be no more amnesties.

### Other 2026 reductions

- Since 1 January 2026, yellow-plate PKB is charged at 30% (passenger transport) or 70% (goods transport) of the tax due.
- BBNKB on used vehicles has been Rp0 since 5 January 2025; a discount coefficient keeps PKB plus opsen from rising.

## Penalty for paying West Java vehicle tax late

Late PKB incurs interest of 1% a month for up to 24 months, with any part of a month counted as a full month; the same applies to opsen. The SWDKLLJ contribution has its own fine of 25% to 100% of the annual amount, capped at Rp100,000. (Provincial basis: Perda Prov. Jawa Barat No. 9 Tahun 2023 Pasal 104.)

### Is there a vehicle tax amnesty (pemutihan) in West Java in 2026?

No. The last amnesty ended on 30 September 2025 and the Governor said there will be no more. In 2026 there was only a 10% discount on annual PKB over Lebaran (18–24 March 2026) and a 10% discount at the GIIAS Bandung venue (9–13 September 2026). Both have ended, and as of 1 October 2026 Bapenda Jabar had announced no new amnesty.
