Get a business identification number (NIB) through OSS
Prepare an OSS business application, choose the correct KBLI activity, and understand which obligations may remain after an NIB is issued.

An NIB is the business identification number issued through OSS. Prepare the owner and activity details, follow the guide for your business type, and complete requirements based on activities and risk. Issuance of an NIB does not always complete every business permission.

Register access
Create access, verify contacts and sign in.

Complete the owner information and activity application.

Read the risk classification, declarations and requirements before submitting.
Download and review the NIB
Check whether standards certificates or other obligations remain.
Costs and timing
The Ministry of Trade states that obtaining an NIB through OSS is free. Other licences or services may have separate obligations or costs; not every permit is therefore free.

Describe the actual business activity
Manufacturing a product and reselling it can fall under different activities. Read the KBLI scope rather than picking a similar business name. Check whether more than one activity needs recording. Ask OSS or local DPMPTSP for help if unsure.
Individual-business instructions do not automatically fit a legal entity. Existing applicants should also read the relevant transition guidance shown in OSS. The final fields and documents follow the actual application.
Review every activity after issuance
Check the downloaded NIB for identity, address and activity details. Keep access through an email and number you control. Correct errors through OSS rather than editing the PDF.
Read the status and remaining obligations for each activity. Record the responsible agency and any outstanding verification. An issued identification number is not evidence that all sector-specific conditions have been completed.
