Claim Indonesian JKP job-loss benefits after dismissal
Understand JKP eligibility, dismissal evidence, claim timing, cash support, training and the official SIAPKerja application route.
English edition. Official forms and source documents may be in Indonesian.
JKP supports eligible insured workers who lose a job through dismissal, with cash, job-market information and training. Check participation, gather dismissal evidence and apply through SIAPKerja and the official JKP channel. BPJS describes cash at 60% of reported wages for up to six months under its rules. Do not delay: its guidance gives a six-month claim window after dismissal.

Guide contents
What to prepare
- BPJS Ketenagakerjaan participant number, SIAPKerja account, identity and own bank account.
- Evidence of dismissal and details of the most recent employment.
Steps you can follow
Check participation and event
JKP differs from JHT; verify active programme status and the reason employment ended.
Collect dismissal evidence
Request the relevant employer document and follow the JKP portal’s dismissal reporting instructions.
Apply through SIAPKerja
Complete identity, bank and active job-search commitment details and follow BPJS verification.
Complete later-month activities
Check required assessment, job searches or training so later benefits are not interrupted.
Costs and timing
Official JKP claims do not require a paid broker. Cash depends on reported wages and BPJS rules; it is separate from the JHT balance.
Check current requirements, availability and charges through the official reference ↗ before applying or paying.
JKP, JHT and severance are distinct
JKP combines cash, job information and training for qualifying participants after dismissal. JHT is a separate benefit, while an employer’s dismissal obligations are another matter.
BPJS states the claim should be submitted within six months after dismissal. Check current documentary and membership rules for the individual case.
Claims and follow-up
BPJS directs the participant to obtain dismissal evidence, report the event and claim with a SIAPKerja account. Later monthly payments require the specified job-search or training activity.
If reported wage or membership data are wrong, contact the employer and BPJS rather than sending private documents to an unverified social account.
Things to check carefully
- Resigning does not automatically qualify as dismissal for JKP.
- JHT and JKP have different conditions and forms.
- Missing the claim window can remove entitlement.
Frequently asked questions
Is JKP the same as severance pay?
No. JKP is a conditional social-insurance benefit; severance is a separate employment matter.
Are six payments automatic?
No. BPJS requires a claim and qualifying follow-up activity for later months.
