Indonesia Golden and remote-worker visas
Compare Indonesia’s investor Golden Visa with E33G remote-work permission, including commitments and official fees.
English edition. Official forms and source documents may be in Indonesian.
“Nomad visa” is an informal label; check the official E33G second-home remote-worker category. Golden Visa routes include E28B for company establishment and E28C for capital-market investment. Required funds are distinct from the visa fee.

Costs and timing
Bontang Immigration lists government charges of Rp7,000,000 for one-year E33G and Rp13,000,000 or Rp19,500,000 for five- or ten-year E28B/E28C. These differ from E33G income evidence of at least US$60,000 a year and Golden Visa investment commitments. E28C starts at US$350,000 for five years or US$700,000 for ten; E28B company establishment starts at US$2.5 million or US$5 million respectively. Confirm the live e-Visa invoice.

Investor versus remote worker
Investor routes require investment evidence and may have post-entry commitments. E33G targets remote workers; do not treat it as permission to work for an Indonesian employer. Conditions and thresholds can change by code.
E33G evidence and Golden Visa investment deadlines
For E33G, Immigration lists at least US$60,000 annual income and an employment agreement with a company outside Indonesia. It also lists recent bank statements for living funds. This is not authority to take employment with an Indonesian company.
For E28B/E28C, check acceptable proof and post-entry commitment deadlines. The official page gives 90 days for specified investment commitments. Read your exact code before moving money.
Things to check carefully
- Claims of a cheap Golden Visa often mix up the application fee and investment capital.
- Recheck the code when applying because visa categories can change.
Frequently asked questions
Is E33G the same as E28C?
No. E33G is a remote-worker category; E28C concerns capital-market investment.
