South Kalimantan vehicle tax rates

The PKB rate is set by the provincial regulation. Since 5 January 2025 regencies and cities also charge an opsen of 66% of the PKB on the same notice. The combined column is simple arithmetic before any regional discount or tax-base reduction.

How to check and pay South Kalimantan vehicle tax online

Check the bill in the official Info Pajak Kalsel app (Bapenda Kalsel; enter plate or chassis number: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.bapendakalselprov.infopajak_mobile) or check and pay in Bapenda Super Apps/TASK (https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.bapenda.task.super_apps). Payment is also possible in Aksel by Bank Kalsel (https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=id.co.bankkalsel.mobile_banking) and, for private owners, in the national SIGNAL app (https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=app.signal.id). UPPD Banjarbaru runs a WhatsApp payment service for Banjarbaru residents (Samsat On the Spot, 0821-9449-1771, QRIS payment, notice delivered). No official web-based bill-check page was found on bapenda.kalselprov.go.id.

• Bapenda Super Apps (TASK - Tax Apps of South Kalimantan) ↗ — Official Bapenda Kalsel app for checking and paying regional taxes online, including PKB, with bill check, payment history and due-date reminders. Google Play developer: "BAPENDA PROV KALSEL" (updated 27 Apr 2026).
• Info Pajak Kalsel ↗ — Official Bapenda Kalsel app to check the PKB and SWDKLLJ amount by plate number or chassis number, estimate late fines and find Samsat locations; it cannot pay. Google Play developer: "BAPENDA PROV KALSEL" (updated 29 Jul 2026), linked from the Bapenda homepage.
• Aksel by Bank Kalsel ↗ — Mobile banking app of Bank Kalsel, the provincial development bank, with a payment menu for Samsat and regional taxes; promoted by Bapenda Kalsel for paying PKB. Google Play developer: "Bank Kalsel".
• SIGNAL (Samsat Digital Nasional) ↗ — National Samsat app published by "Korlantas Polri – Pembina Samsat Nasional"; its Google Play listing names South Kalimantan among the 27 provinces where annual PKB and SWDKLLJ can be paid online and the STNK validated (private owners only).

Only use the official apps and numbers above. Samsat and Bapenda never ask for payment into a personal account.

South Kalimantan vehicle tax relief in 2026

All administrative sanctions (fines/interest) on PKB principal are waived; current-year PKB principal is cut 10% for 4-wheel-plus vehicles and 20% for 2- and 3-wheelers; vehicles transferred in from another province get 50% off PKB principal for the first and second year; transfers within the province or change of owner (balik nama) get 50% off current-year PKB principal. Valid across the province. Official posts do not state exclusions (the 2025 programme excluded red-plate government vehicles). Ongoing as of 2026-09-25.

Other 2026 reductions

• 24% discount on PKB principal for privately owned vehicles and 37.5% discount on BBNKB principal, announced by Bapenda Kalsel 31 March 2026, extended to 30 September 2026; it has ended and no extension had been found by 1 October 2026. Legal basis number not published; whether it applies to cars as well as motorcycles and whether it stacks with the August programme is unclear.

Penalty for paying South Kalimantan vehicle tax late

Late PKB incurs interest of 1% a month for up to 24 months, with any part of a month counted as a full month; the same applies to opsen. The SWDKLLJ road-accident contribution has its own fine of 25% to 100% of the annual amount, capped at Rp100,000.
