Social assistance
Check Indonesian social assistance through Cek Bansos
Check Cek Bansos with your NIK, understand DTSEN and household deciles, and follow the official route for correcting social-assistance data.
English edition. Official forms and source documents may be in Indonesian.
Use cekbansos.kemensos.go.id to check assistance information. When reviewed, the official form requested a 16-digit NIK and verification code. It uses DTSEN data; a household’s decile indicates its welfare grouping, not an automatic decision to award assistance.

Guide contents
What to prepare
- Your NIK as recorded on your identity document.
- Access to the official portal.
- Evidence of actual household circumstances if requesting a data update.
Steps you can follow
Open the official portal
Go directly to Cek Bansos Kemensos.
Enter your NIK
Use the 16-digit identifier on the official website only.
Submit the search
Complete the verification code and choose Cari Data.
Read the result
Review the programme and status information shown.
Request an update where needed
If the records do not reflect your circumstances, use the village/kelurahan, social affairs office or Cek Bansos app update channel.
Costs and timing
Do not pay anyone promising acceptance or disbursement of assistance.
Check current requirements, availability and charges through the official reference ↗ before paying or travelling.
Checking records and updating them are separate
A search shows information already held. Changed family circumstances need an update request. Official local-government and community proposal/objection routes involve verification and validation; submitting a proposal does not immediately change eligibility.
Explain what is wrong, when the change occurred and what needs checking. Provide genuine evidence through the authorised channel. Do not invent circumstances to seek a different decile.
Choose the correct place to resolve a mismatch
First check the NIK against identity documents. Dukcapil handles population-document corrections; the village/kelurahan and social affairs office are starting points for socioeconomic data questions.
Keep the update reference and read requests for clarification before resubmitting. Panduan Warga cannot add beneficiaries, set a decile or accelerate payments. Do not post household documents or a NIK in public comments.
Things to check carefully
- Older name-and-region tutorials may not match the current form.
- Deciles 1–4 may be proposed for PKH/Sembako, but this does not guarantee an award.
- Household data and deciles can change after updates and periodic calculation.
